The Microsoft Authenticator app helps you sign-in to your account if you use multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Before setting up MFA for the first time, you will need to install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile phone.

To install the app, go to the App Store (for Apple phones) or Google Play store (for Android phones) on your mobile device and search “Microsoft Authenticator”

Click “Install” to download the app on your mobile.
